Scully

Robin Scully, a valued member of our board, brings a rich history of life experiences and a deep commitment to community development. Born and raised in Pittsburg, Kansas, Robin completed his education in public schools, graduating high school in 1965. His academic journey led him to Pitt State University, where he earned a degree in teaching in 1971 and became a proud member of the Sigma Tau Gamma fraternity.

In 1970, Robin married and went on to raise four wonderful children, who, in turn, have brought eight grandchildren into his family. In 1972, he entered the US Air Force, completing officer training school and excelling in managing military open missile operations for the next seven years. His dedication led to a reassignment to Whiteman Air Force Base, Missouri, in 1978, where he played a key role in the minutemen missile program until his honorable discharge in 1982.

During his final year of active duty, Captain Scully decided to pursue a career change, following his dream of managing his own business. In 1981, with his experiences in hand, Robin, along with his family, built and opened Heroes Restaurant Pub in downtown Warrensburg. Under new ownership, the establishment remains a successful dining venue to this day. In 1993, he expanded his entrepreneurial ventures by opening Scully Restaurant Supply, providing equipment, supplies, and design support to numerous operations throughout Kansas and Missouri for over a decade.

Though retired from full-time work in the hospitality industry, Mr. Scully continues to generously share his wealth of experience and knowledge with others in his field. He takes great pride in witnessing the success of others as they pursue and achieve their dreams—much like the joy of observing individuals grow in their recovery journey.

Robin Scully's diverse background, entrepreneurial spirit, and commitment to fostering success make him a valuable asset to our organization's board, contributing a unique perspective and dedication to the well-being of our community.
